As a clumsy child, Allie never participated in sports and never viewed herself as an "athletic" person. It wasn’t until her early twenties that she decided she wanted to become more active and stronger. She practiced Muay Thai for six years and loved the intensity and adrenaline it offered her but the impact it caused her body was not sustainable. She then found her way to her yoga mat in 2012. In 2016, she completed her 200-hour yoga certification through Yoga Alliance and has been teaching Vinyasa Flow Yoga since. In early 2017, she was introduced to Pilates through the Pilates V internship program and started teaching in May 2017. She is extremely passionate about wellness and fitness and approaches both with a holistic approach. When designing her classes, Allie likes to draw inspiration from both Yoga and Pilates and believes they are great complements to each other. She loves connecting with her students by creating fun and intelligently-sequenced classes that cultivate empowerment, confidence, and self-awareness.
Although now a teacher, Allie is first and foremost a student. After completing her Pilates Certification, she has plans to pursue her 500-hour yoga certification, as well as TRX and Barre down the line. She also enjoys attending workshops on a regular basis to keep her knowledge-base up to date.
When she’s not on a reformer or a yoga mat, you can find her in her kitchen baking vegan goods and brewing Kombucha. She is a big fan of the outdoors and enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and camping. She also loves traveling and attending concerts.

Angella’s desire to challenge her bodies’ physical limitations first started with dance. Then eventually athletics became her passion. Angella was a two sport athlete with collegiate and Olympic dreams. Unfortunately, after tearing her ACL her senior year in high school, that road was cut short. Her training and her injury has given her the insight on how to challenge the body and how to patiently deal with injury.
Before joining the Pilates V family, Angella was furthering her education in kinesiology and a dedicated stay at home mom. Her background as an elite athlete, driven student, personal trainer, chiropractic assistant and dedicated mother gives her the acumen needed to be a attentive and thoughtful instructor. She has been a Pilates instructor just short of a year. Her classes reflect years of personal training experience, 300+ Pilates reformer certification hours, experience teaching TRX, and barre. Angella style derives from her love of dance and fitness. She looks to improve her students flexibility, core strength and coordination, while building their confidence in their overall fitness journey.

Belen has always enjoyed dance and movement since a very early age. While attending UCLA in the early 2000s, she started taking yoga classes at the campus gym. She quickly fell in love with the movement and centering aspect of yoga. This love eventually led her to becoming a certified yoga instructor through Yogafit in 2009. She thoroughly enjoyed being a yoga instructor but often times developed ongoing chronic joint pain while teaching and during her own practice. Her physical therapists urged her to let go of her yoga practice in favor of teaching pilates. Due to this, in 2014 she took a leap of faith and did a one-on-one comprehensive 75 hour Classical Pilates mat certification with the owner of Total Body Wellness in Albuquerque, NM. Her mat training was the beginning of her passion of Pilates and specifically the reformer apparatus.
“The reformer has helped my body to feel like it did in my twenties. My freedom of movement greatly improved and allowed me to continue the other activities I loved.” -Belen
Belen has taught yoga and mat pilates in different cities in the US and the United Kingdom. Her goals are:
To help her students develop a mind-body connection.
Improve her clients' efficiency of movement in their daily life.
A focus on alignment and accuracy of movement.
Her teaching approach is about helping others find a mind body connection with an emphasis on proper alignment. She enjoys learning as much as she can about Pilates and hopes to share her positive energy with her clients! In her free time she enjoys doing outdoor activities with her family and their dog.

Cecilia Pulido has been in the natural health & fitness industry since the early 1990’s. Originally raised as a California farmer’s daughter, she experienced endurance, strength, & power training exercises by helping harvest the family's apricot & walnut orchards, as well as doing general chores on the farm. She moved to Los Angeles, California in the late 1980’s to attend UCLA, and there in Los Angeles she got very involved in the fitness “scene” …from step aerobics, martial arts, fencing, to yoga, she loved staying fit and moving her body. Eventually, she came across a television ad which depicted a young Mari Winsor showing her Pilates exercises, and that truly impressed her. Mari Winsor was her first exposure to the Pilates Method. From there she continued working in the fitness industry as a hobby, while maintaining a full time career in sales and marketing, mostly in the natural products industry.
Towards the end of 2003, she relocated herself and 3 year old daughter to Puerto Rico for a sales and marketing project. When the project came to completion, she decided to remain in Puerto Rico but pursue a different career path. Her long time study and commitment to PaKua, an Ancient Chinese knowledge (www.pakua.com) , lead her back to the fitness industry, and she began teaching fusing PaKua with her basic Pilates knowledge into all her classes. One day a student asked her if she had studied at Pilates Y Mas (the Pilates school of Lolita San Miguel). The school was unknown to her, but this discovery immediately lead to classes at Pilates y Mas (part of Ballet Concierto) and with Ms.San Miguel herself, and eventually the Polestar Pilates Program in 2010.
In 2015 she entered the Lolita Legacy Program and traveled every 8 weeks to West Palm Beach, Florida continuing her advancement in the Pilates Method with Danielle Armstrong (a former student of the late Romana Kryzanowska and both classical and contemporary trained). She graduated the 500+ hour comprehensive program in 2017, and in 2018 was invited back for a Pilates Master Mentor Program (PMMP) with Lolita San Miguel, who taught the total group of 6 mentees personally. Graduating in 2019 with the highest scores in all sessions, she completed the program and delivered a thesis project on Pilates for Parkinson’s Disease and Scoliosis, and designed a Complex Case Programming format for all instructors to use as a protocol in working with intricate and complex health cases. In 2019 she completed the 3rd and final phase of the Lolita Legacy Educator Training Program, and is not licensed as 1 of 30 Legacy Instructors in the world. She is authorized by Lolita San Miguel to carry on and deliver her 500+ hour Comprehensive Teacher Training Program, and now carries the title of 2nd Generation Pilates Teacher.
She has studied with Mary Bowen, Wendy Arbuckle LeBlanc, Rael Isacowitz, Saul Choza (protege of Mari Winsor) and other notable Master Pilates Teachers. In 2017-2018 she also studied and completed a specialization with Dr. Suzanne Martin for Scoliosis and Spinal Asymmetry.
In addition to being a long time instructor of fitness, she has earned significant ranks as a Kettlebell Master Trainer specializing in large group Kettlebell classes, is a TRX Black and Yellow instructor (Teacher Trainer Team), and is 3rd degree black belted in PaKua Chinese Martial Arts, Sintonia Chinese Yoga, Tai Chi, and Ritmo - Martial Arts Dance.
Her firm belief in teaching the importance of proper kinematics before anything else, and fine attention to form continue to define her teaching style and work. She has worked with special populations including those suffering from Alzheimer’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Obesity, Severe Diabetes, Scoliosis and Spinal Asymmetries, Opioid Rehabilitation, Cancer, and Parkinson’s Disease.
She currently resides in San Jose, CA with her daughter. She is extremely excited to learn more about the Pilates Method from other instructors and amplify her teaching capability and personal practice. Her most current project is a non-profit organization called Pilates4Parkinson’s where she continues to develop Pilates programming and support for those suffering from Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological disorders.

Grace moved from Beijing, China to Los Angeles, California to pursue a Chemical Engineering degree at USC. While balancing her reverse osmosis studies (ask her about industrial water treatment) with fitness, she discovered Pilates as the best way to overcome her muscle imbalance problems caused from years of intense fencing competitions.
Grace's interest (obsession) with Pilates only grew from there, and as a student of Rael Isacowitz, she completed her BASI Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training in Newport Beach, California at BASI headquarters. Joined by her husband, Grace attended BASI's LFTL (Learn from the Leader) Conference in Pretoria, South Africa.
Grace incorporates an engineering approach to analyze her clients movements during her Pilates lessons, where she helps clients re-educate their muscles, gain better alignment, and achieve optimal balance between flexibility and strength.
Grace enjoys traveling to new places, eating spicy Chinese hot pot meals, and playing with her three big fluffy dogs.

My name is Grecia Gutierrez, I decided to start practicing Yoga and Pilates approximately 6 years ago through a community college for PE credits and I decided to try Yoga and Pilates and I fell completely in love with it. It has not only helped me physically but mentally as well.
I became an instructor because like everyone else, I too have my own story to share and hope it helps someone out with their own journey. I have my personal experience with what it’s like to want to work out and pursue a healthier lifestyle but not having the correct guidance and full support team. I’ve had my share of struggles and low moments to a point where I had given up on myself but something inside me pushed me and helped me get to where I am at right now. Since I know what it’s like to take on a journey by oneself I want to be that support system for someone and help them and allow them the encouragement they not only want but need and deserve. I have received my Comprehensive Pilates Certification and Yoga Certification from College of San Mateo, I love expanding my knowledge, growing as an individual, mentor and instructor, and sharing the benefits of all of the Pilates apparatus with my clients.

I am a true believer in the healing power of movement. I’ve been working with people in a variety of capacities since 1994 to help improve mobility and well-being, and have marveled at the body’s inherent knowledge and resiliency. I’m very excited now to use Pilates to help people rediscover their bodies, their balance, their strength, and their center.
I worked as a registered nurse in hospitals for nearly 20 yrs. In the midst of that, and while raising a family, I began looking for ways to release tension and take care of myself more deeply. I fell in love with dance fitness, and found my playfulness. I attained my AFAA group fitness certification began teaching cardio hip hop in 2014. I soon realized that I would need to direct some of my efforts towards proactive training for injury prevention, which is how I discovered Pilates Reformer. The focused, controlled movements are challenging yet fluid, often dance-like in themselves. I trained and earned my Pilates certification and have been teaching Pilates in South San Jose since 2016. I continue to enjoy learning about the body and all the ways that we can work with it.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy working in my yard and garden, hiking with friends, reading, cooking, and spending (a tremendous amount of) time at the ice rink watching my daughters play ice hockey.
