Annie

Program Facilitator

Annie has worked in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years promoting wellness to her clients in a variety of settings including studio, fitness, corporate and clinical settings.  She is a practitioner of the contemporary Stott Pilates method and holds certifications in Comprehensive Mat/Apparatus, Injuries and Special Populations, Total Barre and is a former Instructor Trainer at Mindful Movement Collective. In addition, she is an NCPT - Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher and an ACE certified personal trainer and Registered Dietitian since 1988. After a low back  injury from distance running and with the birth of her third child, Annie was introduced to pilates and immediately experienced the rehabilitative benefits in both body and mind.  In 2002 she started her certification training. She enjoys designing individualized programs as well as creative group class formats that make pilates accessible to all ages and fitness levels.  Annie's mindfulness practice also includes spending quality time with friends and her three children John, Juliana and Jocelyn.  

 

Alexis

Program Facilitator

Alexis brings over 22 years of expertise in Pilates instruction, specializing in mindful movement, body awareness, and biomechanics. As a renowned Pilates teacher trainer, she has developed comprehensive programs that emphasize alignment, breathwork, and intentional movement, while integrating her extensive knowledge of anatomy and movement mechanics. Her teaching methodology equips instructors with both technical expertise and intuitive skills, enabling them to create impactful, personalized classes for their students.

With a unique specialization in equestrian Pilates, Alexis has developed specialized techniques for optimizing rider performance through improved posture and core strength. Her technical approach combines biomechanical principles with practical application, which she has successfully implemented in training Pilates instructors at all levels and working with elite athletes. She currently focuses on empowering Pilates instructors to master both the technical and instructional aspects of teaching, ensuring they can effectively guide students while maintaining proper form and safety protocols.
