Sept 17 2020
First and foremost, we hope that you have been staying healthy, happy, and safe during this unprecedented time. We realize many are eager to return to studio life. There will of course be those who are more comfortable remaining at home as our communities begin to emerge from shelter orders and we’re excited to continue to support our communities in both capacities with safety and quality remaining our #1 commitment!
As we begin to emerge to our new world, the safety and health of our community is our top priority. As such, we’ll be taking a conservative, phased approach to reopening which will result in a number of changes in studio that everyone visiting our studio should be aware of.
We’re erring on the side of sharing lots of details — as we believe it is important for our community to understand the rigorous planning and changes we’ve been making over the last several weeks in light of both State and County guidelines to ensure everyone’s safe return.
Individual clients with plans that will resume upon a reopening of a studio (i.e Sunnyvale, Willow Glen, Palo Alto on Sept 19) will be contacted individually to review their account status and the to-do’s to get back in studio (like signing their new waiver), booking their classes etc.
Lastly, as our investment in studio safety and the ongoing costs associated with COVID19 increase, we’ve revised our plan & pass pricing and offerings to help meet these needs. While we’d like to operate as we did before closure we know that is not in the best interest of our community and must take extra measures and appreciate everyone’s ongoing support. One thing you’ll notice is we’ve simplified our plan/pass offerings, making all plans work in all studios. For now, we’re also moving to a greater emphasis on class passes vs. monthly billed plans, in order to provide longer usage periods. We felt this was necessary given the uncertainty many feel in their routines, and flexibility folks would need to adjust.
We appreciate your continued support of our family and small businesses in the community and can’t wait to see you in studio (starting in Sunnyvale, Willow Glen, and Palo Alto September 19th)

COMMON FAQS
WHAT IF I HAVE A MONTHLY PLAN?
If you are on a monthly plan (VIP, VUnlimited, v4, v8, or First Month Unlimited) we will be putting a hold on your plan (no need to reach out to us for this) which preserves the remaining number of usage days (and visits if applicable) you as as of 3/17. Plans will restart on the first date we’re able to open a location. No monthly bills will be scheduled or processed while we’re closed, nor set up for once we reopen as we move to a class pass only system once we reopen to account for the pandemic.
SUNNYVALE/WILLOW GLEN/PALO ALTO: Your plan/passes will resume as of SEPT 19, 2020. We’ll be in touch personally (phone/text) with those who had a pass or plan that is being adjusted to provide you a new expiration date.
WHAT IF I HAVE A CLASS PASS?
If you’re on a 10 class pass or Groupon, or have a private/duo pass, or single class pass, the remaining number of days of usage you had as of 3/17 will simply restart the day we open (no time or visits are lost).
SUNNYVALE/WILLOW GLEN/PALO ALTO: Your plan/passes will resume as of SEPT 19, 2020. We’ll be in touch personally (phone/text) with those who had a pass or plan that is being adjusted to provide you a new expiration date.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
No need to reach out to us for any of this, we’re handling it! Sit back, stay home, and we'll see you as soon as we have more information :) Follow us on Instagram or Facebook for updates in real time!
ARE YOU OFFERING VIRTUAL CLASSES?
Yes, we are offering virtual privates and classes. In-studio class packages do not apply for our streaming classes (as in-studio classes are valued higher). Private packages may be used for virtual or in studio, same pricing applies. Please visit our @Home Hub for more info. If you have not yet tried a virtual live class, please email us at hello@pilatesv.com for a $5 trial class offer. Online classes will continue thru at least end of September as of now.
WILL I HAVE THE SAME PASS / PLAN AVAILABLE TO BE WHEN YOU REOPEN?
Any already in process paid (or prepaid) plan/pass will be usable as described above. For purchases of new plans or passes, there are new options and pricing available here. We are unable to honor past pricing at this time due to increase costs from COVID19.
WHAT ARE THE GENERAL CDC GUIDELINES?
We encourage all of our clients to follow the CDC recommended steps and best practices to help keep healthy in and out of the studio including:
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 30 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Stay home when you are sick.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Be sure to wipe down all your equipment, especially small props, with our spray bottle concentrate in studios. Clients are always welcome to bring in and use their own personal mat, reformer straps, or dry + clean towels as desired.
For more information, please refer to official Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website.
REDUCING shared TOUCHPOINTS IN STUDIO
Our goal upon reopening is to reduce commonly shared touchpoint in studio. This does mean the removal of some smaller props, and we highly recommend purchasing your own personal hand/foot straps or reformer covers (that can also be folded and used on chairs).
Please watch our return to studio video available here to understand our new procedures.
QUANTITIES LIMITED PRIOR TO OPENING. ANYONE WHO HAS PURCHASED A COVER OR STRAPS, WILL BE ABLE TO PICK THEM UP WHEN WE REOPEN. WE WILL NOT BE HOLDING UNPAID ORDERS, FIRST COME/PAY, FIRST SERVE.
